Katy Mills Shopping Center

Do not be fooled as this is an amazing place to visit for all the family. There are lots of interesting shops, for adults and kids alike, and interspersed around the venue the kids can enjoy the thrills of bungee jumping and various carnival rides. Finally the day can be completed with a visit to one of the many top class restaurants before a trip to the AMC Movie Theater. A long and tiring day but one that your entire family is guaranteed to enjoy.

Katy Market Day

There is something magical about a market wherever it is in the world. The hustle and bustle, a little bit of bartering with the stall owners, and unique and individual crafts and wares make a trip to the market and fun and inexpensive trip. The Katy market only takes place on the third Saturday of every month, so you will have to plan ahead if you choose this one.

Typhoon Texas

If you love water rides and visiting water parks’ then this one is fantastic. Relatively new at the time of writing it has brilliant rides, slides and wave pools. Nothing beats the thrills spills, fun and adventure you will have here, and you will easily spend the entire day here. At the end of the day you will all be thoroughly exhausted but will have really enjoyed your time together. Suitable for all ages, and with rides for everyone, this is certainly one that should be top of your list, – the kids will love it.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Mason Park

Sometimes it just isn’t possible to have an entire day set aside for a family trip, or perhaps you want to celebrate an award that is sent home from school. The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Mason Park is a Dine in Theater experience where there is a real dedication to the movie and the food being served. The food is delicious although virtually everything is fried, and they never allow adverts before the movie, just make sure you are there on time or you will miss the start of the show. This might fall into the treat or reward section of family fun, as there is no talking allowed during the movie – These guys are serious about their films.

As was mentioned above Katy has plenty of variety and family friendly things to choose from. We have tried to choose different options which will cater for all tastes, but if museums or music venues are your preference, then Katy is also perfect for those type of events. Finally, if you are prepared to travel just a little bit further afield, Houston offers a whole plethora of things to do and see. It won’t take you long to fall in love with Katy Texas, just like everyone else that lives here.
